Growing in confidence...

The children in FS2 are growing in confidence as each week goes by. I have been very impressed with how many children are beginning to challenge themselves and try new and more varied activities. We are continuing our focus on repeating patterns and it has been lovely to observe children using their acquired knowledge about repeating patterns in their independent play. This has been particularly evident in the loose parts area in the unit.  Some of us are also starting to form some numbers independently when accessing mark making resources, others are even writing short words in our Phonics sessions! As always lots of independent play based learning has gone on during continuous provision time. Some of us have chosen to build in the construction area, while others have enjoyed accessing small world play.
