Welcome to Heather Garth Foundation Stage!
Foundation Stage is made up of our Nursery (FS1) and our Reception class (FS2). We work together to provide a caring and stimulating learning environment and to meet the needs of each individual child. We are committed to the highest standards of teaching and learning achieved through a combination of challenge, support, encouragement and praise.
The Foundation Stage Unit has been designed and organised to promote positive engaging environments for children to learn in. We believe in the importance of outdoor learning and use our exciting outdoor area regularly for our continuous provision and adult led directed activities.
We want our children to enjoy their first experience of school life and give them the secure foundations and enthusiasm to begin their learning journey.
FS1 is taught by Mrs Jackson (EYFS teacher), Miss Ball (HLTA) and Miss Wordsworth (Early Years Practitioner). All adults within the unit (FS1 and FS2 staff) work with all children throughout the day. Mr Fisher is also the EYFS Leader in the Foundation Stage Unit.
