Chinese New Year

This week we have been super busy learning all about Chinese New Year. We have listened to the story of the twelve animals in The Great Race. We have made a Dragon, performed a Dragon dance. We have been practicing our make making skills with a special Chinese writing brush  and have written the word Tiger in Chinese. We have also made a Rattle Drum, been measuring dragon lengths and creating Dragon decorations. We have also tasted some yummy Chinese food as part of our end of week celebration. We have tried lots of different things including noodle, prawn crackers, spring rolls and soy sauce. The children have all really enjoyed their learning this week and so have all the grown ups.
