FS1 Learning 23.1.24

This week we have been learning all about a Caterpillars life cycle and some interesting Caterpillar Facts. Did you know a Caterpillar only has 6 legs?

Can you tell your grown up about the life cycle of a Caterpillar and Butterfly?

Here are our key words to help you remember

- egg, larva, pupa, and adult.

We have really enjoyed reading the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. We have talked about why the Caterpillar may have had stomach ache and how he went through ‘Metamorphosis’ to change into a Butterfly.

We have also been very busy developing our pencil control and drawing skills drawing our favourite bug/insect from the exploration table.

In maths we have been looking at repeating patterns and exploring short and long caterpillars.

We have also loved working in our new Veterinary Surgery!
