Making Crumble

This afternoon we thought about seasonal fruit that we can grow in the UK as part of our DT work. The children learned about how different foods grow at different times of the year. We also thought about the impact on the planet if we use fewer miles to transport food by eating seasonally. 

The children then used their knowledge of hygiene when handling food, as well as the different skills they have been learning for preparing food. I do hope their crumbles tasted as good as they smelled!
