Musical Doodling
Date: 12th Jan 2024 @ 3:47pm
Year 3 looked at how music can be represented by shapes and patterns or even art today in their music lesson. They started to learn a new song and then listened to 'Winter' from the four seasons by Vivaldi and thought about what the music made them imagine and how they could represent the tempo and volume of the music being played using 'doodles' on their whiteboard.
Some children chose to represent the pace of the music, others changed the shapes they drew to get bigger as the music got louder and some chose spikey or rounded shapes for how the music was played.
They also looked at 'Spring' by Vivaldi and discussed how this sounded different when compared to the winter piece and why that might be.
