Varied learning opportunities...

In FS2 we have had another busy week - we have focused on drawing pictures of our favourite book characters, recounting events/writing sentences about photographs sent in from home and also a big focus on recognising and forming numbers (our number formation rhymes have been added to your home learning books for your to practise at home).

The children are enjoying our current topic 'Mirror Mirror'. Our focus book in FS2 has been Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We have developed our skills in orally retelling this story this week, using Makaton signs for the key words including: bear, Goldilocks and baby. Ask your children to show you these 3 actions at home. We have also used the actions in our song "When Goldilocks went to the house of the bears". 

We have also spent time talking about our 'Golden Rules' and the importance of being 'A good listener' and tidy up routines - talking about 'Choose it, Use it, Put it Away'.
