Y3 Fossil Formation

As our current Science topic is about 'Rocks and Soils', we have been looking at the formation or fossils today. We talked about how fossils can look different and be of different creatures or even plants. We talked a little about Mary Anning and her discoveries. We then learned about how a fossil is actually formed over thousands or millions of years.  

See if your child can tell you anything about what they have learned today when they get home.
